You need to be careful how you use these ... I've read somewhere (don't remember where) that some onboard SATA controllers may not be able to handle the hotplug aspect.

I think my two Dell SC servers specifically state they don't support hotplug ... but that could be Dell's CYA statement in case a drive gets fried.

However, I'm not 100% sure about this.
