Where should I look in XP? Somewhere in the registry?


John showed you the various places this stuff can lurk, but a simple thing
to do is let Windows show you:

Start -> Run (or Win+R) then type: msconfig /startup

There you can see tabs with the various sources and what they run, and
selectively disable things from starting. But to actually remove them
instead of a selective diagnostic startup, you should still alter the source
where it is stored. This is just a Q&D way to see what starts and why.
