Try freezing it overnight. Hook up as a slave in the morning and
immediately copy everything off of it.

Another method is to hold it in your hand and smack it down on a table
fairly hard. Might jar the mechanism loose if you are lucky.

Of course, both of the above could also toast the drive for good and should
only be used as a last resort.

Doesn't matter, since the drive isn't even spinning, tried on two known
good
power supplies.
