Yes key in a join logical is only on field in primary. Yes will do it easy
in SQL.

Got a couple of PFs. Call them FOO and BAR.

FOO is uniquely keyed on fields HAM and EGGS, and contains additional
field SPAM (which is the unique key of logical FOO_1

BAR has a field, FROTZ, the first key on logical BAR_1, that ties every
record in BAR to a record in FOO. And it also has a field, BLORB, which
is a date.

I'm looking for a way to get the most recent value of BLORB for any
arbitrary value of HAM, with an RPG CHAIN statement. Preferably without
having to pick through every FOO record for that value of HAM.

As I recall, the last time I looked, a DDS-defined join-logical could
not be keyed across more than one of the based-on PFs. Or is my memory
playing tricks on me. But I also recall doing SQL join queries that were
keyed across more than one PF.

1. Am I making any sense?

2. Is there a way to do this? Or am I stuck having to go through every
FOO record for the given value of HAM?
