Hi all,

I have created an IBM Idea for a change to the 5250 Tabbed Sessions to
allow the path to the location of the .hod files to be specified.

Here is the link to the idea

https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-3998

Would appreciate your votes please.

On Windows 11 if you have the Tabbed option set to Run Other when you
click the + to start a new 5250 session the directory displayed is where
the last session was started from and commonly this is your desktop. All
my .hod files are in the Emulator directory and that is where I would like
this to open up to.

I opened a case with IBM support and they had no solution for this and
suggested starting session manager first and then starting the first
session from there.

While that works it makes using the session manager option to Copy to
desktop, thereby not needing to open session manager to start the session
cause the above problem.

Note: I did not have this problem on Windows 10.

Cheers

Don
