Most likely not, since the mirroring would be broken on at least one pair in your configuration.

Without dual controllers for buss level mirroring I’m not sure your system would allow for anything that looks like RAID10, then maybe. Then you would need an equal number of disk units on each side of the mirrored buss pair. Definitely not possible in a single wide 170. We have customers that do have that configuration (on more modern equipment) and when a drive is lost the system reports degraded although still protected.

So the real answer to your question is yes, it’s possible with the correct hardware.
