When I restore an object, it has a Restore date/time of when the restore
occurred. If I then do a MOVOBJ, the Restore date/time is blank. I am
running V7.3.
I have a process that restores a file to QTEMP, merges data from the
existing file, and then deletes the old file and moves the QTEMP version to
the app library. I looked at a file to see when the last time this occurred
on a file and there was no restore date.
Does anybody have an explanation for the date being removed? Is it simply
because the object was not restored to the library that it is currently in
so it is removed to eliminate confusion?
I am not looking for a new solution to what I am doing so please to not
reply with fixes to my process. I am just asking about the date because it
was unexpected and I am curious about it.
