I was going to ask Gio, what are the messages in the job log just before this one? Those will usually have helpful information - this one is just a marker. BTW, 3401 is the return code for not permitted to do something with an IFS object, that's all.

I have found it is never enough to give a support person just the last job log message.

might be a authority issue in the IFS.

if you are on a newer release you can use
Start Authority Collection (STRAUTCOL)

which help figure the minimum authority needed to access objects

Hi All

When i try to run command from XLPARSE2 library to import Xls file i receive
error CPE3401
Message . . . : Permission denied.

Cause. . . . . : An attempt was made to access an object incorrectly

permitted by the object access permissions.

The user that receive the error has only *JOBCTL *SAVSYS autorization and
Capacity limitation *YES; if i try with another user with *Allobj i don't
receive this error.
The autorization in the file, for the public are all granted ..
I have to give to the user *allobj aut ?? or there is a workaround ??

Thanks in advance
