Since no one has yet answered, I'll chime in with what I was taught when I asked a similar question a decade or so ago. SQL itself is not designed to be a report generator. Ergo, you should expect to use other tools (RPG, Sequel) in conjunction with SQL to customize the reporting beyond what SQL is capable of. That said, Db2 SQL has been enhanced tremendously since that time, so who knows?

Subject: SQL question

Here's an SQL question for the group...
I have an SQL that works but I'd like to add a blank line after the Group BY ROLLUP.
How would someone easily (EAS-I-LY) add a blank line to the result set after the --- 9 and after the --- 7 ???
Asking for a friend 😉

abc 1
def 2
ghi 6
--- 9
jkl 3
mno 4
--- 7
--- 16

Respectfully,
Michael Mayer
