This is very tangential to your actual issue.
There's two ways to restrict iACS. One is from the server. One is from
the client. Doing it from the server using the various application
administration things I've discussed from the New Nav is more secure.
But if you're into the whole "security by obscurity" thing and believe your
users are too stupid to search the internet and figure out the workarounds
you can try restricting it by client configurations. Many people may show
you editing various text type files, rss options, etc. But if you want a
quite simple way to achieve the same thing without the mandatory propeller
hat (or Merlin the magician hat) you can try the GUI way as documented at
