Re: What is a "lockspace"?

While looking at ALCOBJ (to see if there was a "call level" option for
SCOPE), I saw that there was a *LCKSPC option, for which "The lock is
scoped to the lock space attached to the current thread. If no lock
space is attached, the lock is scoped to the job."

That kind of begs the question, "What's a lockspace?"
