The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Based on that, can I assume that the Last Used Date is being updated by
the Optimizer?
If so, then I am thinking that the important thing is the index key itself
and not the format level.
I am going through a DDS to DDL conversion and this Index is built over a
DDS defined file that I am converting to a DDL defined file and I need
this Index to point to the new DDL table and not the existing one. I am
trying to avoid a level check, but based on your response, it looks like I
am not going to.
Am I correct in my idea?
