Ya... I saw about 17 questions. So maybe we couldn't see them all.

All we want to know is how this affects our TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). I would be very surprised if this new model doesn't increase the cost of ownership.

I have a hard time with someone selling me a Subscription Model with a 5-year term that you pay 100% up front, under the guise that its "budget friendly". I don't have a problem with the "term", but it should be paid annually.

With a perpetual license, the customer can decide if SW maintenance is a value. I'm thinking, what if IBM decides their license agreement with Tibco for DB2 Web Query is done. I bought a perpetual license (and pay SWMA). It continues to work at the current software level, even if we stop paying for it. The technical support certainly isn't worth the money.
Under a subscription model, the software would cease to work when the subscription ran out and we lose our investment in all the reports we created.

Just some things running through my head.

I don't think they answered mine.
However, normally they have all their ducks in a row. As they said, they
came out early so they can get all this answered prior to the March 2024
date.
Who knows, maybe your question will lead the FAQ list as that date
approaches?

I asked 3 questions... all 3 were completely ignored (and the only

As far as I can tell, this is a real mess.

Late reminder, but you have 15 minutes to register for the webex regarding
the new subscription model. Replay will be available.
