Morning all. May I respectfully suggest that if anyone needs S36 material and more, I have some on
my IBM i References Pages blog.

https://ibmireference.blogspot.com/
On the right side, open the Nostalgia Vault.
Click on the "Can't believe ..." link.
Click the "Computing Archive"
Page to "ibm/" and open it.
You'll find all kinds of material including "System36/".
Lots of interesting dated stuff as well.
Enjoy.

Respectfully,
Michael Mayer

We did a SAVELIBR of some libraries on an AS236 to tape (6348).

We have a 9406-270 with the same type/model tape drive.

We can do a DSPTAP TC to *PRINT and we see the contents of the tape
When we attempt to do a RESTLIBR it fails with this message.

RESTLIBR JDRAPER,,,,,,TC,REWIND,,JDRAPHF
RESTLIBR procedure is running

SYS3085 Options ( 123)

Any ideas?

We need to export some files and we can't do it on the AS36.

Aside from Bryan's excellent idea to dsptap labels(*savrst), I had to
dig deep into my memory to try to remember any S/36 stuff. Consider
INZTAP on the 270, then carry it over the the AS236 and try several
SAVE commands instead of SAVELIBR. Back on the 270, use RESTORE to
try to get the files off of the tape. I have a very vague memory of
compatibility issues between platforms with SAVELIBR.
