Hi,

Thanks for all these inputs here.

So
1) How to create a UDTF that combines
all of the members for a single query (possibly using RPG native I/O
with MBR(*ALL)) instead of copying all of the data to another file and
having to keep that file up to date. the UDTF could also add a new
"virtual" field for the member name.
?
or

create

a) a table function (UDTF)
or
b) a view

which consolidates all members in one “query" ?

2) Could the use of MQT(Materialized Query Table) help this query (shared
here 'SysPartitionStat cross join QSYS2.IFS_READ' (is it a built-in table
function provided by the IBM i ?)to run faster ?

If yes, then how to modify this query to utilize it here?

3)

call qgpl.export_source_to_git' -- Ok even though once it sends all the
source to IFS path but using this can we browse the source members the same
way we browse it using WRKMBRPDM? if yes , then how?

4) Will any RPGLE program( including CL as suggested here) generate this
ideal file faster than running above SQL query (using SysParttionStat) , I
mean performance wise?

If Yes, do we have that program here to compare both here?

Thank much...

I'm sure it is. Another contributor here told me he's seen a Seth Richi

I do believe some of the replies will be helpful to everyone -
but the constant demanding without apparent effort on the OP's part,
that has to stop or be stopped, IMHO.
