Hi Bill

I am not sure I could advise how to configure this correctly via email.
It's been a long time and I generally mess around until I can get it
working on those systems that still use it. But.
the commands I generally start with are:
CFGDSTSRV - make sure the system(s) are in there and have a distribution
queue
WRKCFGL - check whether I need to do anything in the *APPNDIR, *APPNLCL,
*APPNLCL lists (but it;s along time since I did anything with these)

I *think* so long as you have the systems configured with a queue via
CFGDSTSRV and with an entry in WRKDIR (and maybe an *ANY directory) you
should be OK.
Working from a system that I have that works, on the system you want to
send from you should have DSTQ with the name of the remote system

Having an *APPC connection between these two systems might also help...
These days I tend to configure a HPRIP controller something like this:
CRTCTLAPPC CTLD(RMTSYS)
LINKTYPE(*HPRIP)
RMTINTNETA('ADDRESS')
LCLINTNETA(*SYS)
RMTNETID(*NETATR)
RMTCPNAME(RMTSYS)
The CTLD name i use is the name of the remote system

Bit of a brain dump, I hope it helps a bit.

Evan,

To answer your questions:

QSNADS is definitely started on both machines
The user is enrolled in the system directory on both machines

As a follow-up, what is considered configuring the Distribution Services
correctly?
