As mochasoft is freely available for anyone to download and learn
AS/400(IBM i) similarly is any of the synon version not available to
download and learn it free of cost?

AFAIK, 2E was and is a green screen product. It doesn't care if you're
using an actual 5250 terminal or a 5250 emulator.
