Rob
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that we do not use an HMC
We have two "one-partition" machines administered the old way (with ASMI if
needed)
(the 2nd test/dev machine is a CBU for the 1st prod machine)

So I usually use DSPFMWSTS to get that info.
Having said that, I did not know there is a SYSTOOLS.FIRMWARE_CURRENCY
table (or is it a view?).
Thanks for the tip (I always enjoy learning things)

Along this line there is this:
SELECT *
FROM SYSTOOLS.FIRMWARE_CURRENCY;

This will:
- Display your current firmware level.
- Tell you if there is an update available for your model.
- Tell you your machine model.
- Tell you when your UAK expires.
- Tell you if your firmware policy is set to HMC or not
What is will not tell you:
- It will not tell you your HMC level
- It will not tell you if the update is compatible with your HMC level.
