Consider interfacing your Helpsystems Robot (on IBMi)
https://helpsystems.com/products/job-scheduling-software-ibm-i (or other equivalent) scheduling product to Derdack
https://www.derdack.com/enterprisealert-alerting-software/
You can make Robot monitor when batch jobs run long, and send text or email messages via Robot's own alerting system, or interface/ingest to Derdack for more robust alerting.
Robot is great for scheduling IBMi jobs and jobs on non-IBMi servers.
Helpsystems also has an alternative scheduling product that does not reside on IBMi.

Subject: [External] Batch monitoring software
[WARNING]: External Email
All,
What is the best option out there to monitor batch jobs off hours that till alert via text/email when a jobs errors or takes longer than expected? I googled it but didn't come up with much.
As always, thanks for your input.
All the best,
Richard Reeve
