OK, thanks. In my convoluted mind I read it wrong.....

Jim,

The OP was asking about converting a PDF to a CSV file, not create PDFs
from spooled files.

<vendor>
But if it was converting spooled files to PDF, why not support a long time
ISV with probably the original spooled file to PDF creator... SPLTOOL. :)
Much more configurable, merging, inserting images or barcodes, overlays,
etc. Years before IBM had it as an offering. :)

I'm confused about why you don't just use 5770-TS1 (it's included with
IBM
i at no cost) to create an output queue that keeps the PDFs in it. No
cost, no changes to programs (maybe a redirect to a different output
queue)
and it's done. You need:

5770-TS1 *BASE
5770-TS1 Option 1

Am I missing something? The request was to simply create PDFs from IBM i
spool files. What get all immersed in Open Source when you don't have
to?
I'm not opposed to Open Source solutions, it's just why complicate it
further than it has to be?

Push comes to shove, you can use ACS as a plugin to create it as well.
(Still requires TS1) but that's still a bunch of work when you don't
really
need to do much at all.

A client of ours has won a new contract and the government department

The information on this report needs to be entered into the IBMi and

I believe Adobe Professional can do this but the results are not

results
were ... well lets just say strange.

Just enquiring if anyone has solved this issue and would share/advise
how
they achieved it.
