As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If there is that many values to compare against - wouldn't it be easier/more efficient to create a file to contain these values and perform a join against it?

Subject: [EXTERNAL] SQL IN predicate - length restrictions?
Hi,
Anyone knows about a limit in how many values that can be put into an IN
predicate?
Testing reveals that around 1000 values ( don't ask ) performance drops
significantly.
I'm not able to find any restrictions in the SQL manual.
