The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Make sure QMGTOOLS is in your library list.
GO MG
Option 19 (Hardware data collection)
Option 2 (Collect DASD data)
Parms:
OS400 User ID/password: (I used mine)
SST Password: This will vary based on your system. We did find that this was essential!
PAL information:
Collect PAL entries: Y (our default)
Begin Date: We used 09042021
End Date: we left *current
We were able to send the collected data report to IBM tech. I never actually looked at the data. When the report is finished creating, there is a message on the bottom of the screen with the name of the file. Make a note of this (we actually just copied it). A copy of the file (.zip) will be found in the IFS root directory then /TMP. Apparently the system cleans this up, as I no longer have it.
There is an option to send it to IBM on the MG menu (option 23). Requires the TS service #. When they didn't seem to get it, they provided a web page that we signed into an uploaded from the IFS (drag and drop).

Jim,
Can you please detail what object in the QMGTOOLS library you looked at to see those two messages? Also, any commands to access that log would be good to have also.
Thank you,
Doug
