This isn’t an HTTP vs. HTTPS thing, and more browser vendors moving to block 10080 because of historical misuse. You can read the justification over here:

In firefox you have to do the following:


type about:config in the address bar

in the "search preference name" input box, type:
network.security.ports.banned.override
set to type string
click the + button to add
then type in the ports to allow. 10080
