I think we're making steps here.
In another thread, when you started out wanting a full CL solution you ended up taking in RPG also. Good.
I also know that you do not have the SQL precompiler. Perhaps as a money saving measure. Perhaps to discourage STRSQL and promote your product. Either way, that's your choice and I'm ok with it. I know that SQL CLI sounds odd to you. Maybe so and maybe not to a PC developer who uses many of the same setup statements to talk to databases. Either way that's your choice and I'm ok with that.
So, given all these conditions, have you thought about learning a new language, SQL procedure language?
