It helps if you ran a recent RTVDSKINF you can run PRTDSKINF *LIB against. Then run another RTVDSKINF combo. This should tell you what libraries, etc changed in that time.
For example, you could have had some other process dump a bunch of non journal data into MYLIB. Then you freed up some journal entries from #MXJRN. Now you have some space back. Related? Not necessarily.
