This is a snippet of part of my code.
dcl-s snd_folderName char(1000);
snd_folderName = 's:\am\kcrawford';
yajl_addChar('folderName' : %trim(snd_folderName) );
When I look at the JSON that this produced I see.

"folderName": "s:\\am\\kcrawford"
}
Why the double slashes?
I looked for anything about special characters but did not find anything.
