What is your Password level set to - QPWDLVL.
Depending on the level, there are other factors.
Rob sent me the below
I believe the system has a few things in it to keep you from shooting yourself in the foot. A sample line is:
"The buffer length for the display file must be 318. If it is less than 318, the subsystem uses the default sign-on display, QDSIGNON in library QSYS when system value QPWDLVL is 0 or 1 and QDSIGNON2 in library QSYS when QPWDLVL is 2 or 3."

So maybe it detected the change, decided your custom signon screen is bunk, and used the IBM default?

Subject: Custom Login Screen
Evening,
I have tried to create a custom login screen it won't work.
I copied the display file QDSIGNON member from QSYS/QDDSSRC to SIGNON/QDDSSRC
STRPDM and selected the correct LIB/FILE and then Edified the QDSIGNON Member.
Option 14 / F4 to compile into the QSYS Library and name the compiled object LILYSIGNON
Changed the Object Authority as follows:
PUBLIC *EXCLUDE
QSYS *ALL
Used CHGSBSD to set the SGNDSPF to QSYS/LILYSIGNON.
Issued a PWRDWNSYS using F4 to set restart.
But I still have the default login screen, what have I done wrong :(
If any of you can help that would be great.
Thanks
Chris
