On a playground LPAR, I changed QPWDLVL from 0 to 3.
I didn't change the signon screen yet, still set to a custom version of QDSSIGNON, which only allows passwords of length 10.
Some strange behavior.
The line below Password is not displayed.
Passwords greater than 10 are working.
How is this possible?
Paul

Yes we changed our screens when we went 0-3. We copied qdsignon2 and put our customizations in it. No big deal.

When changing QPWDLVL from 0 to 3, did you have to manually change IBM sign screen from QDSIGNON to QDSIGNON2
QDSIGNON is the default, which only uses 10 character input for password.
01 PASSWRD 10 I 07 53
DSPATR(ND)
QDSIGNON2 is setup for passwords of 128.
01 PASSWRD 128 I 07 53CHECK(LC)
DSPATR(ND)
We have custom sign on screens, which vary depending on the interactive subsystems.
These would have to be changed to accommodate the 128 length.
