There are maintenance manuals online for this unit - withdrawn from service
in 2019 - Its mfgr is Eaton Powerware and I like to stick with original
parts.
You are playing with electricity and your system - doing this wrong could be
dangerous, to you or the system - so either know what you are doing or pay
someone.
These were hot swappable - so probably more complicated than your basic UPS.
And since your unit is old, consider if worth old hardware with new
batteries.
And stay away from el-cheapo batteries - consider I bought a new APC unit
that lasted 4 years - the "battery store" battery lasted 6 months...

We have an IBM UPS, 9910 E35-3000 rack mount, part# 74Y8478 that appears to
be dead. Is the battery user-replaceable, or do we need to replace the whole
unit?
If we can replace the battery - any suggestions on vendors?
