Sorry I'm old school.
We are on a Power 8 with V7R3 and we have both ACS and Client Access V7.1
in use.
We use Infor ERPLX 8.3.4 and have home written applications that this will
be used for.

I'm not just poking at names here because if you are indeed on AS/400 that
means much older version with fewer thigns supported. You didn't specify
the O/S version or release.
Also Client Access is no longer supported at all, in fact iBM refers to it
as 'DeadNav' because, well, it's dead. It also only ever ran on Windows
which would mean your handheld device would requite a Windows O/S.
ACS on the other hand is Java so in theory could run on any device that
supports Java at least Windows, Linux, or Apple devices.
Depending on where you are software version wise will make a difference to
what your options are.
