Sound like a migration.

You can create a virtual optical, run your SAVSYS, unload , ZIP and send the virtual media using FTP. We've done that in the past.

Are you migrating ?

that you offload the I/O to an auxiliary device while zipping, encrypting,
& transmitting to a remote location.

Leave your disks for database and transaction processing workloads, or
whatever has higher priority.
