I did specify the exact range I wanted. The last record in the file was the last populated row in the spreadsheet. It just has extra blank lines on the topo of the file.

I would make sure you select just the rows you want transferred.
If that doesn't do it I would remove at least 3 rows from the end. Maybe one of those rows had a value at some time and the value was deleted but not cleared.
