Ladies and Gentlemen:
We have a customer. TCP is clearly up, as I'm able to Telnet into it,
and I am able to connect to our CRM product on their system, using its
traditional Java client.
But if I do a WRKTCPSTS on it, I get:
wrktcpsts
Product 5770SS1, option 0003 not installed.
Function check. TCP458B unmonitored by QTONSTAT at statement *N,
instruction X'0029'.
Problem log updated.
Internal system error in program QTONSTAT.
Further, we have a Tomcat-based webapp that provides a web interface to
the aforementioned CRM product, and if *it* tries to connect, via the
Loopback address, to the same server (and the same port) that I'm able
to connect to, it fails, with
java.net.ConnectException: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation. (Connection refused)
Can anybody shed any light on this? Are the two observed phenomena
linked in any way?
