My highest recommendation is never, never create SQL objects by hand. It is
just a waste of time.

Always, always use the IBM wizards to create your tables, views, index,
etc.

The include all the correct keywords and have all the options. Simple and
clean.

Just go into schema's and select your library and then right mouse to
create new objects.

My server is on V7R3.

I am trying to create a table using SQL, with the default value of
"SESSION_USER". This is listed in the V7R3 manual on page 142. No matter
what I do, the DDL will not compile. As soon as I remove that one line,
all is fine.

syusersess varchar(128) not null with default session_user);

This is the message I am getting:

Position 62 Token ) was not valid. Valid tokens: . /.

Is there a PTF needed to support this special register? Can it be used
with a CREATE TABLE statement?

Thank you,

Doug
