Is RMTCMD limited to simple System i Commands only?

Well, yes, but SBMJOBJS *is* a "simple System i Command". Any command
can, in principle, launch arbitrarily complex processing. The most
obvious example is the CALL command to launch a program of your
choice.

So, the first question to answer is: Does SBMJOBJS work the way you
expect and want it to when you type it in at a genuine CL prompt on
the target machine? If so, I don't know why it's not working from
RMTCMD.

How about when you put that SBMJOBJS command into a CLP and call the
CLP? If it works that way, then you could try to call the CLP from
RMTCMD.
