JOBLOG PENDING is the new normal when you change your job descriptions and/or system values to stop doing a DSPJOBLOG OUTPUT(*PRINT) at the end. Many IBM job descriptions come this way, it just makes so much more sense.

Subject: Re: FTP listener hung on port 21

Oddly I had some JOBLOG PENDING jobs the other day when I submiited some batch jobs from the ACS system debugger for the first time.

To make mine go away I did a CHGJOB and specified LOGOUTPUT(*JOBEND).
I assumed they had some weird JOBD that caused them to go to JOBLOG PENDING as mentioned in this old post <https://midrange-l.midrange.narkive.com/qgQdR3wh/jobs-in-job-log-pending-status>

Seems like you have a bigger problem though than just the joblogs not being produced.

Job QTFTP00184 is the FTP listener.

Says it ended at 3:05 this morning abnormally.

Says "Job log pending".

Won't go away.

Tried everything up to ENDJOBABN but port 21 and this job are locked
in a death embrace. Nobody can FTP in.

All I can think of now is ENDTCP and STRTCP.

Any tips?
