Hi, Birgitta, and Rob,
It is often easy to write your own UDTFs for such things, as a
wrapper around some IBM APIs ...
Perhaps what is needed, as a community, is a central open source
repository where users can share such tools and utilities, so others
in the community may benefit from them?
This would be much faster than having to wait for IBM to "approve"
and RFE and then create the requested function and then create PTFs
to distribute it, etc.
And of course, if IBM likes some of the ideas in that "repository"
there is nothing stopping IBM from creating an officially supported
version of some of those UDTFs and distributing them through the
normal channels.
What does everyone think of this idea?
