Jim,

You have options.

Move the object - MOV
Rename the object - RNM
Copy/duplicate - CPY

I have a script that keeps a back copy of the object.

RMVLNK - deletes the 1 back
RNM - Renames the current to 1 back
CPY - Copies the new object to current location

Paul

Subject: Restoring IFS objects to a different place in the file system

Suppose we have a single stream file we would like to restore from a
backup tape. And suppose we want to put it someplace else in the file
system, from whence it was originally saved.

Is there a way to do that?

It's certainly an easy enough thing to do with QSYS objects, but what
about IFS?
