The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Hello Don,
You may want to try using the 'SMTP Route' parameter in Change Name for SMTP. This allows you to put in a full e-mail address. For example:
Change Name for SMTP
System: RCHM199B
User ID/Address . . . . . : USER SYSTEM
Type choices, press Enter.
SMTP user ID . . . . . .
SMTP domain . . . . . . .
SMTP route . . . . . . . flensburg@xxxxxxxxxx
The downside to this approach is that the Send SMTP E-mail Message (SNDSMTPEMM) command does not accept the SMTP route as sender. I submitted a DCR to resolve this issue a couple of years ago but never got any response from IBM. But if you don't use the SNDSMTPEMM it might work out for you.
Cheers,
Carsten

Subject: System directory SMTP domain names in upper case
we had an issue sending to a few specific email accounts where the emails
were continually not being received.
We were asked to change the email domain to lower case.
working with the system directory SMTP addresses this converts all domain
names to upper case
Is there any way to make the domain name lower case ? I tried in quotes
but that gives invalid error message.
System is V7R3
