If they're remote OUTQ's, I've found the SNDTCPSPLF command to be helpful. It will eventually time-out and give an error, as opposed to a spooled file just sitting in the OUTQ.

Subject: Network Printing?

I have a customer who is cutting over from an old V5R4 system to a new
Power 8 running 7.3. They have two printer devices that are addressed via
IP addresses. They are continuing to work from the old system, but when I
try to print to them from the new system, it just hangs. Is there
anything special about sharing a printer between two peer systems that I
should be taking into account?
