Parsing text is such an... interesting way to spend an afternoon!
Have you thought about something on the PC side-- I know Adobe has PDF editors-- are there any other 3rd party PDF-to-text products that will let you extract the text of the PDF?
Do the PDFs have images/logos/etc. to worry about?

Working on that approach as well.
Working with PDF's as the starting point vs the result is a new thing for me.

Does the place sending the receipts have any other way to get the data?
Web service? XML, JSON, etc?
Parsing PDF files for data is worse that parsing spooled files for data in my opinion. Before digging too far into that, I'd see if you can get the data some other way, in an actual format that IS data. :)

Hi All,
We get receipts saved to the IFS as a PDF. I want to get at the
contents so I can save to PF and reconcile.
Can I copy that PDF to a txt or PF on the IBMi that I can read?
Can I read the PDF directly?
This will all need to be done programmatically of course.
Thanks!!
