The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You've been able to use True Type or Open Type fonts in AFP for many years
on the iSeries, so long as they are Unicode based.
I don't think IBM provides any, but if they did, look in subdirectories in
these locations.
As for free there is a lot of them out there, including IBM's new FLEX
font family. There are even old versions free versions of windows fonts.
Just make sure that your down stream side supports the TTF/OTF in AFP,
including printers, viewers and PDF emitters.
Copy the fonts into a subdirectory under fonts, into subdirectory
\TTFonts. (they'll be available after the system boot or a restart of sub
system QSPL
They should have a file extension of .otf or .ttf. The file name can
differ from the internal name. You want to use the internal name shown in
the windows font preview, not the file name.
Window's Arial make a good test case, since its file and internal name is
Arial.

I have a test file that you can use to verify, if you get stuck.
