Just to push a little further - have you tried it with a .zip extension
at the end of the file name?

And in Windows Explorer, you might be able to right-click it and see
options for 7-Zip - one is just to open the archive - it doesn't have to
have the .zip extension (I do this all the time with XLSX files).

Are either of these different from the way you've tried to open it?
