Always best to use absolute references.
Mr. Clark nailed it. The first form looked for
BRC/INDEMAND/BRCTBuys201803200815.txt within whatever directory you're
in: fine if your current directory is the IFS root, not so good if
you're somewhere else.
I think you'll find that one little slash at the beginning of your fully
qualified pathname is going to make all the difference in the world,
whether you're in OS/400, Linux, BSD, WinDoze, or DOS.
