Several parameters evidently filter the list to potentially *zero entries.

I was thinking of using:

WRKSMTPEMM QUEUE(*ERR)

I bet its quite rare that the IBM i SMTP client fails to communicate with
and forward mail to an SMTP endpoint.


In regard to "failing to route", wouldn't that be the job of the SMTP
server that hosts the deliver-to account? In other words, the IBM i SMTP
client would deliver mail to gmail.com. Then after the connection drops,
gmail.com would post it to someone's account there, if it exists. Otherwise
gmail.com should send a non-deliverable message to the originator's account.
