I'm not sure that RLA & SQL are being used consistently - SQL we're pretty settled on, methinks.

But we get, on the one hand, a statement about "...SQL vs RLA..." and, on the other hand, "...SQL uses RLA..." - I don't see how we can have both of those.

I think it's fair to say that both SQL and RLA call functions from the same set of database component functions that are in SLIC. Anything else would be nonsensical, seems to me.
