Hi Jerry,

Between Windows machines one would use WMI (Windows Management
Instrumentation) to query information on another windows machine.

There seems to be a Phyton WMI client package, but I have never explored
that. Maybe you can adopt that for your needs.

Best regards,

I have a windows server that acts as a broker and sends radiology reports
to another windows server. Occasionally the service that does this either
stops responding or the automatic start parameter gets changed to manual
start. We have been in contact with the vendor regarding this but they have
yet to find a solution. So until they do get this resolved I was wondering
if there is a way, using RPGLE to query that server and determine the
status of the service (started vs not started).

Anyone ever done this before? Is there a windows API that can be called vie
RPGLE to determine the status, and/or stop/restart the service?
