Actually, it depends on the scope of what you have in mind whether or not
that will be successful.
Is your goal to see if read-only stops updates? Pretty safe bet.
Is your goal to see if they'll pitch a fit if it is only read only? Not
so safe a bet. Especially if it's only used to download tools.
