Hi I'm Chris, new to this group. I'm an AIX admin at OpenText in Austin
and a former IBM AIX support tech (19 years).

We're getting some IBM i LPARS on a power7 blade and I need to
learn how to manage them. I suspect the OS version will be 7.1.
I know a lot about the HMC and I'm sure I can figure out the blades.

I've been looking around the internet for IBM i systems administration
documentation but haven't found anything practical yet.

A lot of the IBM documentation seems to be marketing related
and there is a lot of product documentation. I just need to know
how to use the command language, install and update and backup
the system, create user accounts. Sys admin stuff. This is easy to
find in the AIX world but I am lost here. I would appreciate any
pointers to documentation or (recent) books.
