Yesterday, in another thread, I stated I felt dense this week. I think
it's worse than that. I feel dumb.

I have made no changes in ACS. Yesterday afternoon I rebooted my
workstation. After that I have 2 issues with ACS:

1) The console is back to telling me "This terminal type 3477 does not
match the existing connected session." It was fine for 2 weeks. The
resolution before was to tell it the session was 24x80 instead of 27x132.
Now I can't remember how I did that.

2) There's something else going on. The sessions came up tabbed. I
experimented with tabbed sessions months ago when I first tried ACS,
thinking I would like them. I didn't, so I stopped using tabbed sessions.
I looked for a setting somewhere to correct this, but don't find it. But I
haven't looked in individual sessions settings.

I ended up going back to the old Client Access and Operations Console until
I have time to figure it out today.

But I swear I haven't changed anything.

Try this. Sign on to the console, be on a screen like WRKACTJOB. Leave
it signed on. Disconnect from one method of Lan Console and reconnect
with another. Get back to that screen. If you're still sitting in
WRKACTJOB then you know you've configured "console take over" right.

And, once you get comfortable with ACS then I would retire the other and
change your screen size to 27x132. You might as well take advantage of
it.

Well, it reconnected with the old Client Access so I would assume it would
with the new as well, but thought it best to ask.

When I reboot to apply PTFs, I assume this control panel and console

reconnect automatically like the old Ops Con?

I think I'd rather know that _before_ the next time I IPL.

Perhaps there is some method to configure ACS to use a 24x80 screen if
it
feels safer to you to have both.
And some might question whether or not you really need 27x132 on your
system console.
However, there are some times that I really missed it when running in
restricted state and looking at certain files and whatnot. I was so
grateful when I no longer had that restriction.
